Kronprinsregenten har i statsråd utnevnt professor Fredrik Sejersted (49), Oslo, til ny regjeringsadvokat og leder for Regjeringsadvokatembetet.
The Office of the Attorney General is the Norwegian state's legal office in civil lawsuits. The Office acts as counsel for ministries in lawsuits and advises the government and ministries on legal issues.
The Office of the Attorney General is organised as a single central entity with offices in Oslo under the leadership of Attorney General Fredrik Sejersted. Administratively, the Office of the Attorney General is subordinate to the Prime Minister's Office
